Game developer Playson is gradually becoming known as the fruit game king of the online market, especially in non GamStop casinos, and many players who prefer traditional payment methods appreciate exploring options such as list of non GamStop casinos allowing credit card payments while trying these titles.

They release one game after another with this theme. Great, you might think, but they employ a unique tactic. For example, in 2019 they produced many slots that not only offered nothing innovative, but were all—except for a few details—clones of each other. Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines is one of them.

This slot, like quite a few of this game developer’s fruit slots, has a few siblings. One is the 40-payline and the other the 100-payline versions.

Making five winning combinations is quite limited in those cases, especially considering the size of the playing field. It also has the lowest top prize of the bunch. Another classic slot can be found in Fortune Rangers.

You can cash out up to €200,000 with this, while Imperial Fruits: 100 Lines has amounts up to €500,000. The slot we’re reviewing here does have the most attractive RTP, namely 96.71% at non GamStop casinos. Does that automatically mean the game has the best odds of winning?

Imperial Fruits Benefits and Disadvantages: 5 Lines

Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines has the following pros and cons:

    Advantages

    • Expanding wild
    • High RTP (96.71%)
    • Wide range of applications (€0.10 to €100)

    Disadvantages

    • No Gamble feature
    • Little chance to win bigger prizes

How does Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines work?

With this classic slot machine, you might expect a classic 3×3 playing field at non GamStop casinos. That’s not the case. The grid measures 5×3.

A somewhat voluntary spin of the reels starts at €0.10 per spin. For a chance to win bigger prizes, you can play up to €100 per spin. It’s a typical classic slot machine, just like Fire and Ice and Chance Machine 100.

Starting with three identical symbols on a payline, you receive a payout, except for red sevens. In that case, two identical symbols are enough to win real money at an online casino.

Fruits: 5 Lines Payout Table and Symbols

The lowest-paying symbols are the group of oranges, cherries, plums, and lemons. They award you up to €200 for a 3-of-a-kind, which is already twice your bet. A five-of-a-kind combination wins you up to €2,000. The pear symbol doubles that amount.

The watermelon, along with the grapes, is worth up to €10,000. The lucky symbol 7 pays out the most cash. A payline of five 7s can even award you up to €40,000.

Fruits 5 Lines Payout Table and Symbols

The scatters are the only symbols that can appear randomly on the reels and then pay out starting from a trio. They don’t provide access to a bonus game, as Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines simply doesn’t have one. There are two different symbols:

    • Gold Scatter: Appears on any reel. Pays out from three of a kind up to five of a kind. Maximum prize is €10,000.
    • Diamond Scatter: Appears only on reels 1, 3, and 5. Only three scatters anywhere on the playing field will award a prize, up to a maximum of €2,000.

Below you’ll find the paytable for the Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines online slot, based on five identical symbols on a payline:

    Symbol5 on a Payline (Payout)
    Red seven40,000
    Melons and grapes10,000
    Pear4,000
    Lemons, plums, cherries, oranges2,000

Important to know: All amounts mentioned in this review are calculated based on the maximum bet of €100 per spin.

Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines bonus features

The Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines online slot is a classic fruit machine with simple gameplay. This generally means there are few, if any, bonus features.

Another similar slot from Playson, Sevens & Fruits, has no extra features at all. Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines does have one: the expanding wild.

    Expanding Wild

The wild plays a key role in this slot. It’s shaped like a crown. If a wild appears on the reels and forms one or more paylines as an expanding wild, it automatically expands to cover the entire reel. This expanding wild offers significant winning potential.

Incidentally, wilds can appear multiple times per spin, which only increases the winning potential. However, the wild itself doesn’t offer any prizes for matching wild symbols. It therefore depends on which winning combination it serves as a wild.

Conclusion about Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines

Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines and Playson’s 100-payline version are miles apart. Not only in terms of potential winning combinations, but also, and especially, in terms of gameplay.

It’s not exactly easy to land decent wins in this slot. The frequency of paylines is generally disappointing. In practice, we don’t notice the payout percentage being the highest of the three.

The positive thing is that each payline at least yields more than your total bet, but it’s not very productive if only the minimum amounts are paid out. Constantly winning around €200 after already losing €1,000 isn’t going to help matters.

Amatic’s Lucky Bells slot features an expanding wild and a Gamble feature. Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines falls short in that regard. If you like the concept itself, we recommend trying Imperial Fruits: 100 Lines.

We’re much more enthusiastic about it. In our experience, it outperforms its two predecessors on all fronts. Another classic slot is Lucky Stripes.

    FAQs

What makes Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines different from its 40- and 100-payline variants?

Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines has only 5 paylines, which is significantly less than the other versions. It also has the lowest top prize of €200,000, while the 100 Lines version offers up to €500,000. However, this variant does have the highest RTP (96.71%).

    Which symbols pay the least?

Oranges, cherries, plums, and lemons have the lowest value, paying out a maximum of €2,000 for five on a payline.

What special features does Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines have?

The slot has an Expanding Wild. This is a crown that expands to cover the entire reel if it forms a winning combination.

No, this slot doesn’t have a bonus game. Imperial Fruits: 5 Lines does have two scatter symbols, but they don’t unlock a bonus game.
